Creating labels is a good way to make your CD collection look better. It also helps you organize them more efficiently. Using conventional tools, labels may not come out the way you want them to. When editing them, the main problem is how to set the size. The labels may look fine on the screen, but when you print them, they will not fit perfectly on your disk or its case. Using exPressit SE, you can create labels for CDs, their boxes and other objects, without needing to make any size related settings.

Slower Internet connections may have trouble with the size of the package (almost 40 Mb). The fast installation process will compensate for lost time, due to the straightforward setup wizard. After setting a destination path and clicking a few Next buttons, the software will be ready in about a minute.

When you launch the software, its interface will remind you of other image processors. The difference is that exPressit is simpler and easier to use. Creating labels is not a hard task and the program will not change that in any way. Simple lines and circles, on the main area of the interface, will illustrate disks, casings and so on. Images can be inserted right away by clicking and dragging them from a separate window, which will be available at all times. It will display thumbnails from images which can be found in one of the program's default folders, but you can set it to display the content of a different folder by browsing for it.

Once the images have been added in the work area, you can perform basic editing tasks, like resizing them, rotating, flipping them and more. The CDs illustrations will give you a better idea on how you should manipulate the images for a better fit. You can switch to a different set of illustrations immediately, with the options found under the Label Types menu. The available templates include standard or mini-disks, different types of cartridges, CD wallets and many more. The options available on the toolbar are basic. You can use them to copy or delete labels, add text, see a print preview, start printing and others.

Pros

exPressit SE is simple, but not simplistic. It offers basic tools, but they will come in useful for creating all sorts of labels or business cards. There is nothing on the interface which may slow you down or get you lost in. This makes the software accessible even to users without too much computer experience.

Cons

There is no rectangle tool or something similar, which could further ease the work. exPressit SE lets you adjust labels to any disk or other objects, regardless of size. With the simple, but effective tools it provides, you can start printing labels immediately.
